Thursday … Kalida hosts Ottoville in PCL girls blockbuster

Just as it is with the boys, Putnam County is all about its girls basketball.

And with good reason.

With identical records of 9-0 on the season, the Kalida Lady Wildcats will host Ottoville on Thursday for a conetst which could very well produce the next PCL champion. As the preseason-favorite Lady ‘Cats put their share of last season’s league crown on the line, Ottoville has certainly done its part to represent as the projected next-in-line to challenge for league supremecy.

Even though PCL action is still young, each squad is already facing its own biggest obstacle in the path to this year’s conference glory. This game could spell the difference between champions and runners-up when the dust settles and another piece to the PCL puzzle is in order.

So if you are looking for a classic Putnam County League girls showdown, Kalida should be your primary destination on Thursday night.

And just think … it will be so warm in there … much unlike the outdoor forcast.

Take care.
