So what is going on over in Henry County?

After opening the season with four straight losses, the Wildcats of Napoleon have righted the ship and have reeled off four striaght wins. Losing to Defiance, Eastwood and Marion Harding is nothing to be ashamed of, and with wins over Holgate and Findlay, it looks like the ‘Cats are on their way to making it an interesting season.

A closer look though reveals that Patrick Henry is in need of a spark. The Patriots, once a NWOAL perennial power, have slipped out of the gate to a 1-6 record. If I know Kent Seemann, he won’t sit around and mope. The former PH star knows what it takes to win and it’s only a matter of time before Patrick Henry is going in the right direction.

So what about the other two teams in Henry County?

Well, Paul Wayne is playing “Wayno ball” at Holgate where his Tigers are 3-5. Wayno is obviously looking for more consistency from his club, which begins GMC play on Thursday at Ayersville. (The first week of GMC play was wiped out due to bad weather).

Last but not least, Liberty Center is looking for signs of life after a slow start that has the Tigers 1-6. LC is still in rebuilding mode, but don’t give up hope just yet Tiger fans. We haven’t even reached the halfway point of the season.
