It’s on to the regional finals! Chuck Martinez-Brandon, director/videographer Mark Froelich and myself (Tim McDonough) are breaking down the big matchups this week … Tinora vs. Patrick Henry and Ottawa-Glandorf vs. Orrville. It’s been another fun week and we hope everyone enjoys it.

Playoff video No. 2 is ready. Unfortunately we couldn’t go on location because of a scheduling issue, but we are talking playoff football. It’s ready for your viewing pleasure.

The Defiance six-county area is getting geared up for another big weekend of high school football playoff action.
In Division III, the Wildcats of Napoleon travel to Findlay on Friday night to take on Columbus Bishop Watterson. In Division IV, Ottawa-Glandorf will meet Eastwood on Saturday night at Findlay. In Division V, Tinora travels down the road to Defiance High School to face Lima Central Catholic on Friday, while Patrick Henry heads to Tiffin to take on Jeromsville Hillsdale, also on Friday.

Need to take a moment and congratulate the Titans of Ottawa-Glandorf for advancing all the way to the Division III regional boys soccer finals. Great run guys, be proud of your accomplishment. Congrats on another outstanding season in Putnam County.

Wanted to take a moment and congratulate the Archbold Blue Streaks for an outstanding season on the volleyball court. Finishing the season ranked No. 2 in the state in Division III and advancing to the regional finals before dropping a heartbreaker to Huron is nothing to hang your heads about. I’m sure all of Archbold is proud of you and you should be proud of your accomplishment.

Just wanted to let our loyal followers know that this week’s playoff video will be posted on Thursday afternoon. Chuck, Mark and I aregoing on location this week and we’re looking forward to getting out of our comfy “Studio A” digs to hit the road.

Another quick shout-out, this time to the Archbold Lady Blue Streaks who defeated Otsego in the Division III regional volleyball semifinals on Wednesday night. Archbold will face Huron in the regional finals on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Liberty-Benton High School in Findlay. Congrats Streaks and good luck on Saturday.

Wanted to remind all our loyal blog followers that No.-2 ranked Archbold is taking on Otsego tonight in Division III regional volleyball action at Liberty-Benton High School in Findlay, while Antwerp, Kalida and Columbus Grove will all be in action on Thursday at Elida in D-IV regional action. Don’t forget to cheer on the area girls.

Want to give a quick shout-out to the Ottawa-Glandorf boys soccer team that defeated Bluffton on Tuesday 2-1 to advance to the Division III regional finals. Good luck on Saturday guys against Doylestown Chippewa. Here’s the story from The C-N.
