Wow I’m really surprised that the Leskow kid pitched a one hitter, in five innings. Isn’t this his first year?

And striking out 10? Why hasn’t he played??????

That was Stephen’s fourth appearance this year for the Bulldogs and his first win. He hasn’t pitched that much because Defiance already has two established starters, and two other guys that have been in the program. This is only Stephen’s first year out and he’s a senior. If he had been playing throughout high school, it’s hard to say just how good he could be. Glad to see him get a win and help Defiance to another 20-win year

Has this kid gone to Defiance all four years, or was he a transfer?

Tim, you posted at 3:21 A.M., is that a late night or a wake-up call? Keep up the great work.

Deacon Dog, I think that time is a mistake, I posted that one at work this morning around 6:30 a.m., we must have a problem with that. As far as Stephen Leskow goes, he’s been a four-year student at Defiance, but this is the first year he’s played baseball. He also went out for football this year for the first time and was the third-string quarterback. Stephen has really turned his life around this year and I hope he goes to college and plays baseball. He’s got a pretty good future.

Tim do you have any idea’s on where he is planning on going college? I really wish this kid would of played all four years, i’d love to see how good he could of been this year if he did.

I don’t know, but I could ask him next time I see him and let you know.

Mcalister, after talking to coach Held, I’ve found out that Stephen Leskow is getting looks from Defiance College, Bluffton University and Owens Community College to further his education and his baseball career. That’s all I know for now, if I hear something concrete I’ll let you know.

  • Mcalister said:

Thanks alot Tim! I’m going to be looking forward to see what he can do with his baseball career. It’s looking very bright for him!!
