With the OHSAA allowing a third scrimmage this season, Defiance jumped on it right away, adding Bryan and Toledo Waite on Aug. 11 at Defiance. Bryan is coached by former assistant Travis Cooper, while Waite is coached by former standout Gardner Howard who moved to Waite this offseason from Toledo Scott. Other Defiance scrimmages include Aug. 15 at Lima Senior and Sylvania Southview Aug. 20 at home. That scrimmage is the jamboree and there will be a $3 charge for adults and a $1 charge for students.
