I covered the Fairview/Wayne Trace game. Fairview scored 26 points in the first four minutes of the game and went 75 yards in four plays in 37 second on the first drive. It wasn’t pretty, but I have to hand it to Wayne Trace. With two onside kicks in the second quarter, they scored 21 points on some realy nice plays. Fairview is a tough team with a quarterback that wiggle out of spots that most high school quarterbacks would get put down. Their passing game is top knotch. It was a tough loss for Wayne Trace, but they put an effort up while I was there.
After an excellent game on Friday October 10, Swanton, took the “Iron Kettle” from Delta. Final score 51-23.
W. Holley, hey thanks for your response we had a little trouble tracking this game down since the Panthers lost at home! How did the battle for the “Iron Kettle” come about?
