Kudos O-Line
Like I mentioned early in my post about Travis Spitnale, the Defiance offensive line deserves a huge amount of praise for busting Spitnale loose for 378 yards on Friday night in the 35-14 victory over Celina. Senior Glenn Ward and juniors Jacob Rubio, Dylan Poston, Casey Furhmann and Dakota Westrick have played well all season long, with senior tight end Serge Mayeku also getting it done up front.
When you have a running back that runs for over 1,500 yards, that says a lot not only about that back, but about the guys blocking up front for him. Congratulations guys on a great season, a win over Napoleon and earning a share of the WBL title. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll get the chance to bust open some holes for the DHS rushing attack and hold your ground for the passing game in Week 11 at Avon. If www.joeeitel.com is right, better get packed for a trip to Avon.
